Renowned singer, Akosua Adjepong, has been in the music business for 25
years and her staying power alone is more than enough reason for her to
celebrate her success in music with a major bash.

Come May 30 at the Accra International Trade Fair Centre, Akosua
Adjepong will be staging a concert, Akosua Adjepong @ 25 together with
some of the greatest musicians in Ghana.

Sarkodie, Nana Ampadu, Gyedu Blay Ambolley, A.B. Crentsil, Rev. Joe
Beechem, MzVee, Edem, Becca, Amandzeba, Rex Omar, Daughters of Glorious
Jesus and Nana Ama McBrown are the artistes billed to perform alongside
Akosua Adjepong who is prepared to go all out on the night.

Briefing the media at the launch of Akosua Adjepong @ 25 at the
African Regent Hotel in Accra on Monday, Akosua Adjepong said apart from
the main concert on May 30, there will be a health walk on May 2 which
starts from the Trade Fair Centre at La in Accra to the 37 Military
Hospital and back to the Trade Fair where there would be free screening
for breast cancer, hypertension, diabetes and other ailments.

On May 9, Akosua would make a donation to an orphanage at Gbawe, near Accra.

Talking about the concert, she said she is currently rehearsing with
the Immigration Band to give a good performance on the night.

“I will be performing alongside great musicians on the night and to put
up an outstanding performance, I have been practising with the
Immigration Band to give a brilliant performance. I wouldn’t want to
give much detail on the show but I entreat everyone to come to the
event,” she said.

Not satisfied with the new crop of gospel musicians, Akosua Adjepong
used the occasion to urge gospel musicians to challenge themselves by
coming out with their own songs and not to do renditions of old gospel
songs.

She stated that, the way some of the gospel musicians dress for music
videos is not the best and advised that they dress decently.

Nana Ampadu who was present at the launch commended Akosua Adjepong
on her 25th anniversary adding that, he is prepared to support her
whenever she calls on him any day.

“Akosua is more or less like a daughter to me. She takes advice from me
and discusses whatever plans she wants to take with me. I will be
performing a new song on stage with her come May 30 and it is going to
be a blast,” Nana Ampadu said.

The concert is sponsored by Joy Daddy, Special Ice, Onga, National
Health Insurance Scheme, Tobinco, Union Oil, Breast Care International
and Allied Oil.
