Ghanaian songstress, Wendy Addo, popularly known as Wendy Shay, has waded into the TikTok music promotion brouhaha.
A few weeks ago, TikTok star, Matina Dwamena, otherwise known as Asantewaa, claimed that musicians will have to sing their songs themselves if they do not engage TikTokers for promotion.
Her statement attracted a lot of criticism.
Some industry players have been questioning whether TikTokers are stars.
Commenting on the issue in a post-Newshuntermag.com has seen, Wendy Shay asked these critics to stop the discrimination.
She stated that TikTokers are stars just as there are stars in every field.
Wendy wrote on Facebook: “Enough of this discrimination of who a star is and who is Not …. We have Football stars, Music Stars, Movie stars and TikTok Stars So TiKToKers Are Stars Period!”
