A Lot People Told Me That My ‘Somebody’s Son’ Song Was Not Going To Hit – Tiwa Savage Reveals

Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage, has revealed what people told her when she wrote her ‘Somebody’s Son’ song.

She divulged at a recent concert that a lot of people told her that her song ‘Somebody’s Son’ was not going to hit.

“When I wrote this song, a lot of people told me it wasn’t going to be a hit because only females will sing along to it.

“They said: ‘Tiwa, this isn’t going to be a hit because men are not going to be able to sing ‘Somebody’s Son’,” she disclosed.

Tiwa also revealed that the song was about Jesus Christ.

“When I wrote this song, I was not even thinking about a relationship. I was thinking about Jesus Christ because He’s the real ‘somebody’s son’.”

The song, which comes off her ‘Water & Garri’ EP, featured R&B superstar Brandy.
