Ghanaian musician, Black Sherif, has been named in BBC Radio 1Xtra’s ‘Hot for 2023’ list.
The station tipped 11 acts for success this year.
Black Sherif was the only artiste from Ghana on the list.
Arya Starr, Cristale, Debbie, Doechii, FLO, Nemzzz, Nia Archives, Nippa, Sainte and Valiant are the other artistes on the list.
Most of the artistes recorded exclusive performances of their tracks for the station at the BBC’s Maida Vale studios.
Sherif released his maiden album ‘The Villain I Never Was‘ in 2022.
He also headlined shows in the UK and Ghana. The young musician gave an incredible performance at the 25th MOBO Awards which was held at the OVO arena in Wembley, UK last year.
