South African musician, Mabasa Sindiso, otherwise known as Mr Eben, has made an interesting statement about talent.
He asserted that talent alone is not enough.
The budding South African musician stressed that musicians need strong financial muscles in order to excel.
Mr Eben made this assertion during an interview with Newshuntermag.com’s Kofi Oppong Kyekyeku on Unlimited Chat With K.O.K.
He further talked about how difficult it is to get a breakthrough in the South African music scene.
Mr Eben described his music journey as a very difficult one.
He revealed that musicians who are lucky to be signed onto ready labels in South Africa have the upper hand over most independent musicians.
The young musician explained that the distribution of their projects becomes easy for them—when they have record labels.
Meanwhile, as an independent musician, you have to raise money to pay for a promo before your songs will be promoted by DJs, Presenters and other Promoters.
