It was a three-day conference, from Friday to Sunday under the theme: “Combating the negative effects of social media, the role of Muslim Woman”.

The conference aimed at sensitizing and guarding parents and all Islamic women to keep eye on their children and wards to desist from social vices and the negative influences and consequent effects of social media.

She stated, “In suratul Tahrim verse 6, Allah commands believers to not only protect themselves from punishment in the hereafter but includes a responsibility to protect our children as well”.

“As Muslim women, our duty Allah requires of us is to ensure our children and other young people around us are not exposed to things and people who negatively affect them”.
