Ghanaian songstress, Wendy Shay, has opened up on why she organizes a free concert.
For some years now, Wendy’s ‘Shay Concert’ has been free for patrons.
She revealed the reason behind the free concert in a recent interview that Newshuntermag.com has come across.
“They stream my music.
“I was the topmost streamed female artiste last year [2022] so I thought, ‘Why not do something for my fans?” the RuffTown Records artiste said on 3Music.
She also talked about the support she has received after venturing into music in Ghana.
“It’s very big to me. I mean I am who I am because of [them]. They play a very big role so I feel like that is the best way I can give back to them for them to feel the connection [we share] and know that I think about them too.”
The 2022 edition of the Shay Concert will have performances from Shatta Wale, Medikal, Fameye, Kelvyn Boy, Mr Drew, Lasmid, AK Songtress, Eno Barony, and many others.
