Chairman Wontumi is chasing Kwame A Plus with a fresh contempt lawsuit.
A few days ago, A Plus, Nana Ama McBrown and Mr Logic were fined after the New Patriotic Party bigwig dragged them to court.
Chairman Wontumi’s decision to sue them was after they discussed his issue with Afia Schwarzenegger on United Showbiz aired on UTV.
In his latest lawsuit, the Ashanti Regional chairman of the NPP stated that Kwame A Plus has disrespected the presiding judge after the ruling through posts on social media.
He indicated in his writ of sermons filed at the Tema High Court that the remarks of the Ghanaian social and political activist are contemptuous.
“That my counsel shall contend that the description of the judgment by the respondent as ridiculous and shameful is highly scandalous of this court. That by such statement and description, the respondent is saying that this Honourable Court’s judgement is foolish and stupid judgement. This is a direct insult to the trial judge.”
While the other defendants were fined, Afia Schwarzenegger was reportedly sentenced to ten days imprisonment.
