Famous Ghanaian rapper, Medikal, known in private life as Samuel Adu Frimpong, has given a piece of advice to musicians.
While some musicians regard awards as a top priority, the AMG Beyond Kontrol rapper has a different thought.
In his latest interview with Jay Forley on 3Music TV which Newshuntermag.com monitored, Medikal averred he is not focusing much on awards.
He said it is good to win an award, but musicians should not feel like it’s the end of the world if they do not win.
The ‘La Hustle’ composer advised musicians not to get depressed if they are unable to win an award.
He asserted that music is a passion for him—and he is doing it to entertain his fans.
Medikal revealed it was a few years ago that he got to know about the amount of money he could earn from music.
When it comes to awards, one of the shocking moments was when he could not win any award in the 2017 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) despite having seven (7) nominations.
