Ghanaian music producer, Thomas Frimpong, well-known as FrimPee, has opened up on how difficult it is to do music in Ghana.

Speaking in an interview with Kofi Oppong Kyekyeku on Unlimited Chat With K.O.K aired on Top City TV, FrimPee said the music business in Ghana is not easy.

After investing in music, the Sunyani-based music producer averred it is challenging to recoup.

He bemoaned the lack of a proper royalties collection system in the country.

Even if musicians are to rely on foreign digital stores to earn something, the affable music producer stated that it is not easy.

Citing YouTube as an example, FrimPee said it will take a lot of work for someone to monetize his or her content on the platform.

Looking at the challenges in the Ghanaian music industry, he praised some musicians in the country.

FrimPee declared how much he respects Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale and other musicians who are independently investing and promoting their crafts.
