Ghanaian Gospel musician, Piesie Esther, has admitted the hard work of Black Sherif after the VGMA 2023.
She was in a fierce contest with Sherif for the Artiste of the Year of the 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Sherif was crowned the winner at the awards night held on May 6, 2023, at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Center.
Speaking in an interview with Berla Mundi on TV3 that Newshuntermag.com has come across, the ‘W’aye Me Yie’ singer stated that Black Sherif worked hard and deserves to win the Artiste of the Year.
Responding to criticisms that she wanted to win with one song, Piesie said that wouldn’t have been the first time.
She stressed that Joe Mettle, Diana Hamilton, Stonebwoy and Sarkodie have won the Artiste of the Year with one song.
Piesie Esther averred she didn’t know why people were making such criticism.
