Bob Marley Collaboration: Sarkodie Responds To Shatta Wale’s Remark That He Has Featured A Ghost

Ghanaian rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, widely known as Sarkodie, has broken his silence on a comment Shatta Wale passed following his collaboration with Bob Marley.

The new version of ‘Stir It Up’, a song originally composed by Bob Marley and The Wailers, was released on Friday, January 20, 2023.

A lot of comments were made after the news about the feature was announced.

While some were happy for the Ghanaian rapper, others commented distastefully.

Ghanaian artiste manager, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, otherwise known as Bulldog, described the collaboration as legendary.

For his side, controversial Ghanaian musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Junior, popularly known as Shatta Wale, stated that Sarkodie has featured a ghost and he should be praised.

Responding to Shatta’s remark, the Sarkcess Music boss sees it as a compliment after a fan asked him via a Twitter Space.

“That’s not bad. That’s a compliment.”

“I think the distraction is when something bigger and huge way more than us happen because it goes beyond Sarkodie. This is not a Sarkodie project. This is not a Shatta Wale project. This is for everybody who can get something out of this. So we don’t have to disrupt the goal and take it to a place we don’t want it to go,” he added.
