Ghanaian artiste, Kwadwo Sarpong, popularly known as D Lawal, has talked about the benefit that his ‘Obaa Sima’ song gave him.

After the song became a hit, one might think he made a lot of money.

But he said otherwise when speaking in an interview with Kwame Ghana on Radio BAR in Sunyani.

D Lawal revealed he did not earn enough money from the song.

However, he admitted that the ‘Obaa Sima’ song helped him to be famous.

The Ghanaian artiste also recalled the role Morris Baby Face played—by discovering him, helping through recording and getting a label for him some years ago.

D Lawal hinted at his plans to make a return to music. He disclosed that a popular artiste may be featured on the remix of his ‘Obaa Sima’ song soon.

He further advised young artistes to be prayerful, honour and respect the people who are helping them, adding that it’s difficult to get a helper these days.

Lawal also advised them to find a job instead of relying on only music in Ghana.
