Ghanaian actor, politician and farmer, John Dumelo, has expressed his excitement about the passage of the Narcotics Control Commission Amendment Bill 2023 in Ghana.
The parliament of Ghana approved the bill on July 12, 2023, after its third reading.
The passage of the Narcotics Control Commission Amendment Bill 2023 will allow companies to obtain licenses and plant cannabis for industrial purposes.
In a tweet seen by Newshuntermag.com, Mr Dumelo opened up about his readiness to go into the cultivation of cannabis for medicinal/ industrial purposes.
He further stated that it is a defining moment in Ghana’s history.
John Dumelo tweeted: “I’m very excited Parliament has passed the Narcotics Control Commission Amendment Bill 2023, which seeks to decriminalize the cultivation of cannabis for medicinal and industrial purposes.
