Recently, his name has resurfaced in a billionaires.africa report as having made some tremendous investment gains in less than two months.
Here are five things you should know about this business mogul and his recent achievements:
- The market value of his stake in Societe Generale Ghana recently increased by over $1.3 million, according to the report. This occurred within a span of 53 days and was precipitated by an increase in the bank’s shares on the Ghana Stock Exchange.
2. He remains one of the most prosperous businessmen in the country, and through this significant investment gain, he maintains his position as the richest investor on the Ghana Stock Exchange. He is also the largest individual shareholder of Societe Generale Ghana, with a 6.8% ownership stake.
3. Between January 1 and June 28, Daniel Ofori’s stake in Societe Generale witnessed a dramatic decline from $4.88 to $2.47 million, indicating a $2.41 million loss.
4. He also has portfolios in Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB), Fan Milk Limited, SIC Insurance Company, Guinness Ghana Limited, and Cal Bank, among others.
5. The business tycoon holds the title, “Evangelist Extraordinaire” which was conferred on him by the Ghana Baptist Convention, having been ordained as a Deacon and Elder.
