Ghanaian musician, Wendy Asiamah Addo, known in showbiz as Wendy Shay, has recently found herself embroiled in the heat of the Ghanaian media following the release of her latest song, “Every Man Cheats”.

Contrary to Wendy Shay’s excitement, the announcement immediately evoked a hostile response from several Ghanaians and the usually unforgiving Twitter community who took no time in castigating the singer, expressing their frustration over her monotonous way of making music that only ever focuses on the same issues – cheating and heartbreak.
“Every man is a cheater. He go say he love Caro. He too dey love Vero…Every man cheat o. No man is a saint o”…make up part of the song’s chorus.
The lyrics which some users said were characteristic of the musician’s style of constantly berating men resonated negatively with most of her fans. According to them, Wendy Shay’s music has no substance, and it only gets more infuriating.
One Twitter user commenting on her announcement post said, “Most of your songs [are geared] towards these kinds of messages. Aren’t you a versatile singer?”
Another posted, “You better stop this your one-way music. We taya you maame.”
“One way sound using it to shade men. The fact that your man cheats no mean say every man cheats”, another said. Read some of the comments below:
