No Ghanaian Caught Up In Israel-Hamas War, Disregard Misleading Video – Foreign Affairs Ministry

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has cautioned the public to discount a misleading video circulating false information that some Ghanaians have been caught up in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
Israel declared war on the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement and militant group Hamas after it carried out a surprising and unprecedented air, sea, and land assault last Saturday, October 7, 2023, causing over 1,000 Israeli deaths.
Israel’s counterattacks on Gaza have also left many more dead and injured.
In a statement dated October 11, 2023, Ghana’s foreign ministry said the incident in the video making the rounds on social media did not occur in Israel or Gaza and should be disregarded.
They further assured the public that Ghanaian citizens in Israel are currently safe. Hotlines were however provided in case of any emergency.
The Ministry also said that the situation will be duly monitored and updates will accordingly be provided.
