Ghanaian gospel music duo popularly known as Tagoe Sisters have disclosed that alcohol used to be part of their lives, but not anymore.
According to the sisters, they stopped taking alcohol because it causes dehydration, affects good health, and could have negative implications for their music career.
They were speaking in an interview with JoyPrime which was monitored by Newshuntermag.com.
“We used to take it but it makes you dehydrated and that doesn’t help the system. And we’re growing too. Even sometimes when they call you to sing, you might end up forgetting the song. You’ll be singing the first stanza and before you realize you’re mixing it with the second,” they explained.
The sisters also said that the Bible spoke negatively about excessive alcohol intake, and advised everyone to stay away from it.
“Some doctors advise certain individuals to take something like red wine, but some take it in excess and it becomes troublesome…for us, we don’t want any trouble because as the Bible said, alcohol can be destructive…sometimes when you take it you behave like someone without manners, so it’s best to stay away, ” they added.
