Ghanaian singer and songwriter, Gladstorm Kwabena Akwaboah Jnr, has opened up about an influence Kwabena Kwabena had on him.

Speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM which Newshuntermag.com monitored, Akwaboah divulged Kwabena Kwabena influenced him to change his stage name.

In the early days of his music career, the ‘Love Unfair’ singer said he was using Storm as his stage name.

But after an encounter with the ‘Tokro’ composer, he advised him to change it.

According to him, Kwabena advised that he should change his name to Akwaboah, a name used by his grandfather and dad.

Akwaboah said Kwabena’s manager, Ashes, also made the same statement—so he listened to the advice and changed his name.

He made this disclosure when he was asked whether he had an issue with Kwabena Kwabena or not over an event date change.

While Akwaboah used to host his event on February 14, Kwabena Kwabena is also having an event on the same date currently.

Reacting to it, Akwaboah said Kwabena Kwabena would be the best person to answer why he did that.

However, he believes each of them has his target audience.

Watch his statement below.
