There have been conflicting reports as Ghanaian comedian, Funny Face, is involved in a car accident.
The comic actor, known in private life as Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, reportedly knocked down some pedestrians on Sunday night, March 24, 2024, at Kasoa in the Central Region of Ghana.
The victims included a mother and her two children who were walking along the roadside and two others on motorcycles.
Funny Face was mobbed in a video shared online.
He was however taken away from the scene following the arrival of a police officer. The victims were also sent to the hospital for treatment.
Eyewitnesses claimed life was lost following the accident—and most news portals in Ghana have reported it as such.
But the claim that one of the victims passed on has been denied by Ghanaian comedian, Derrick Kobina Bonney, popularly known as DKB.
In a video shared on social media, he stated that no one perished following the accident.
After hearing reports about the accident, DKB divulged he went to the scene and also followed up to the police station.
If not for the swift intention of the Ghana Police Service, he said Funny Face would have been lynched.
