The demise of veteran Ghanaian Highlife musician, George Darko, has been announced.
The ‘Ako Te Brofo’ composer reportedly died on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.
Known as the pioneer of Burger Highlife, Mr Darko passed on after battling sickness for some time.
His death was announced by Andy Dosty on Hitz FM.
“News reaching us indicates that Nana Ampem Darko, popularly known as George Darko, has passed on,” Andy, the host of DayBreak Hitz broke the sad news on his program.
He died at the age of 73.
