How some Ghanaian celebrities behave on the red carpet has been criticised by Nana Akua Addo.
The Ghanaian actress and fashionista advised her colleagues against taking their car keys and phones to the red carpet.
Nana Akua Addo explained in a discussion with Berla Mundi on TV3’s The Day Show that it’s inappropriate and outmoded for them to take their car keys and phones to the red carpet.
She elucidated that the red carpet is purposely for flaunting elegance and making a fashion statement.
The fashion icon, however, praised Nigerians for their fashion sense on the red carpet.
“We should cease carrying our phones and car keys to the red carpet; it’s outdated. Sometimes, you attend a red-carpet event and notice individuals with their phones, and need to tell them to hand them over to their personal assistant or someone.
“Where Nigerians are taking fashion to is on a different level, they are advancing…utterly professional. Their personal assistants and aides are present, ensuring that everything is taken care of before you step onto the red carpet. The focus is just you, your brand, what you are wearing attire; nothing else,” Nana Akua Addo stated.
