I Love Handsome Guys – Actress Ella Mensah
Ghanaian actress Ella Mensah says one of the things she looks out for
in men is their looks. She explains that though she loves good looking
guys, her body is the sole preserve of the man in her life. Ella
started her movie career in Ghana, meandering through rain and shine
to carve her name on the rocky book of greatness – a quest that landed
her in Nollywood. She has so far featured in over 20 movies and still
counting. She recently spoke with fourcournermag.com: Who actually is
Ella Mensah? Ella is a nice girl, I am humble, fun, love to dance and
have fun when I am less busy. Tell us about you growing up. It was
peaceful. I grew up with my mum and my step dad. I got to know my real
dad when I was 19 years old. I am from an average home. What is your
relationship with your real dad like? We are cool not too close but we
are good. How did you get into acting? I studied journalism in the
university. It was during my National Service period that I discovered
acting is my passion. I love acting, I love to be in front of the
camera. A friend invited me to accompany her to an audition so when we
got there I decided to try and the rest is history. Tell us more about
the challenges on your journey to stardom I'm not even where I want to
be yet. Personally I don't see anything as a challenge in life. They
are just obstacles and I always find a solution. Let's just say I am
yet to face any. How do you manage scandal and rumours? People will
always insinuate and speculate so I just ignore them. They don't
really disturb me, Ella Mensah. Do you want to play a tragic
character? Yes I'm looking forward to it and some challenging roles
like going mad in a movie or a poor person in a movie. What's your
greatest fear? I don't fear anything in life. I believe that
everything that happens to me, happens for a reason. Can you act nude
in a movie? Never! Why will I ever want to be nude in a movie? For
what? My body is for my man alone! Did you get the 2013 Range Rover
birthday gift you had wished for? Not yet, but I will…soon. My biggest
gift is the arrival of my son. He changed my life. Are you married or
a single mother? I'm not married and I'm not single….. (smiles) What
is your take on marriage? It's a beautiful thing and I love it. I
can't wait. What do you look out for in your dream man? I just have to
connect with him and he has to be handsome. Tell us about your
relationship with your colleagues? Great and fantastic. I'm cool with
everyone and I respect them Which of them did you enjoy working with?
Artus Frank, Patience Ozorkor, Angela Okorie, De Aneke and a whole
lot! I love them all.
BUT DO WE HAVE UNHANDSOME GUYS? Lol…..and what makes a man handsome?
