UPDATE: RTP Awards 2013 Set To Come Off Tonight .. . Organizers Finally Pay For The Venue
According to Peacefmonline.com organizers of this year's edition of the Radio
and TV Personality Awards have now resolved
issues concerning booking of the venue for the
show scheduled to take place at the Accra
International Conference Centre tonight.
Earlier this morning Peacefmonline .com
reported that the awards program may not
come off due to the organizers ' inability to pay
for the venue, there's every indication now
that the Accra International Conference Centre
is now officially opened for much anticipated
event.
Peacefmonline .com is reliably informed that
organizers of the show have finally paid for
venue . According to a source , the payment was
made few hours ago. Mr. Kofi Appiah of the
Accra International Conference Centre
confirmed on Peace FM 's " Entertainment
Review this afternoon that Big Events Ghana
have now secured the venue .
" Yes they have now come to pay to use the
Conference Centre tonight" . Asked what
particular time the payment was made , Mr .
Appiah said all he can say is that as at 10am
this morning they hadn 't paid for the venue
but they have paid for it now for the event to
come off as planned and that is the most
important thing .
CEO of Big Events Ghana, Prince Mackey who
also spoke on the program admitted that the
venue hadn 't been booked as at this morning
attributing it to miscommunication between
Big Events Ghana and Empire Entertainment .
He however , emphasized that by the grace of
God the venue has been secured for a
successful awards show tonight.
Asked if Nollywood Actress Mercy Johnson was in Ghana
to host the show as advertised Mackey said
Mercy Johnson is expected to arrive this
evening for the show so her fans should
expect her on stage tonight to host alongside
Kafui Dey.
As at the time of filing this report , organizers
were setting up at the venue for the event
tonight. He also stated they were on their way
to meet Highlife legend Amakyi Dede to sort
out everything with him and his management
for him to be able to perform tonight.
Tickets for this year 's RTP Awards goes for GH
¢ 100 VIP and GH ¢ 50 Regular.
Ticket venues are ; Peace FM , Joy FM, Rainbow
Radio, Baatsona Total , Tema Community 11
shell filling station , Koala and Silverbird.
The headline artiste for the event is the
evergreen Abrantie Amakye Dede and other
artistes such as: Cecilia Marfo , Paapa Yankson ,
Tutulapatu, and Herty BornGreat .
