Hearts of Oak keep Africa hopes alive
Hearts of Oak gave themselves a chance at
sealing the second CAF Champions League with
a 1-0 home win over Inter Allies in Accra.
The Phobians are in third place and three
points behind Heart of Lions with two games
to go for the slot.
Winful Cobbinah's goal handed Mohammed
Polo's side victory and a major boost ahead of
the 'Super Clash' against champions, Asante
Kotoko in their next fixture.
Polo's side will now be hoping results go their
way or they will yet again miss out of
continental football.
At the Baba Yara Stadium King Faisal were left
stunned as they slipped into the relegation
zone following a 2-0 defeat to Liberty
Professionals.
Goals by Kennedy Ashia and Abdul Jafaru in
either half denied Faisal a share of the spoils.
In Dormaa, Aduana Stars lifted themselves out
of the bottom ranks after beating Hasaacas
2-0.
James Abban and Zuberu Fuseini scored for
Aduana.
