SUNYANI WEST NDC ELECTS NEW EXECUTIVES

The Sunyani West Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has elected new party executives in Sunyani.
The positions contested for were, Youth Organiser, Deputy Youth Organiser, Deputy Women Organiser, Women Organiser, Propaganda Secretary, Organiser, Treasurer, Deputy Constituency Secretary, Secretary, Vice-Chairman and Chairman.
The occassion was witnessed by the Deputy Brong -Ahafo regional Minister, Hon. Justice Adjei, Sunyani West District Chief Executive Hon. Agnes Kusi, Brong-Ahafo women Orgniser, Nana Adwoa Takyiwaa, and other party executives.
The election which was conducted by the Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC), saw delegates from the seven (7) zones in the constituency casting their ballots.
At the end of a peaceful process, Abubakar Ibrahim emerged the winner as Youth organiser, Godlove Kwaku Boateng for Deputy Youth organiser, Addae Lucy for Deputy women organiser, Dorcas Kyeremaa for women organiser, Victoria Owusuaa for Treasurer, Okyei Baffour Kwame for propaganda secretary, Kasmer Ali for organiser, Boakye Patrick for deputy secretary, Ahmed Boadan for secretary, Johnson Nketia for vice-chairman and Evelyn Adarkwa Frema (Amatel) for constituency chairperson.
The newly elected executives were sworn-in by the Brong-Ahafo women organiser of the NDC, Nana Adwoa Takyiwaa. She congratulated the winners and urged those who lost to protect the interest of the party, saying “we are all one, let’s work together towards one goal.”
She charged the new executives to ensure that the party wins all twenty four (24) seats in the up-coming election 2016.
According to her, the vision of the constituency is to win the Sunyani West parliamentary seat, and ensure victory for President John Dramani Mahama in the 2016 general elections.
The Deputy Brong-Ahafo regional Minister, Hon. Justice Adjei, who represented the regional Minister congratulated the new executives and asked the out-going officials to work hand-in-hand with their colleagues to enhance party unity.
