Sonnie Badu makes history in America

After almost six months of rigorous preparation towards the live
recording of his upcoming 4th album, dubbed an "African Gospel in
Classical Hymns and Songs", the event finally came off last Saturday
and has been marked as one of the successes Minister Sonnie Badu has
chalked with African Music.
It was a night when nothing was spared, right from camera, lightening,
sound, directors, the organizers, the team Sonnie Badu in America to
sitting arrangements, preparations' was spot on.
The event which started on time saw over 2000 worshippers in
attendance. The enthusiastic audience who so much wanted to join in
making history were lead into the presence of God by great ministers
of God in the persons of Jumbo, Dare David, Blessing Ali and Jamel
Evans and the PCE Crew.
Nigeria's finest comedian Jedi, who was the M.C. for the night
thrilled fans with his comedy amidst emceeing skills. The three
American guests artistes; Jonathan Nelson, Darwin Hobbs and Dee Jones
did not disappoint either, as they delivered powerfully and held the
audience wanting more.
The climax of the live recording was when Minister Sonnie mounted the
stage and worshipped with the audience gathered while taking them
through 30 different songs, a few of these songs being new songs he
has composed. Backed by the choir from Maryland which was led by Nadia
Scott, Sonnie worshipped God and through his ministration invited Mrs
Annie Badu for the first time to join him sing a couple of his songs.
In an interview with Sonnie he said "I just want to praise God for
making it possible. Thanks to my management Smarttys Management &
Production and all who keep supporting and promoting African Music.
God bless you all".
The General also expressed his gratitude to the following for the
night; Armando the man behind the sound, Danny Duncan, the recording
engineer, Trey Smith, the man behind lightening and George Bellias,
the video director for the night.
