The Municipal Chief Executive of Sunyani West, Hon. Kwasi Oppong Ababio
has vowed that the assembly will effectively use military enforcement
in the next month’s National Sanitation Day Exercise which will be held in the
municipality.
He disclosed this to the News Hunter Daily Magazine after the 3rd edition of the sanitation day exercise
organized in the municipality on the 10th of January 2015.
He said most of the residents do not involved themselves in the exercise
and the military enforcement will make the next exercise very
effective.
“The security agencies do not pollute the environment, its the public
who does, so i wonder why they do not patronise in the exercise and i
think the next level of action will help.”
According to the Municipal Chief Executive, some people behaves like
‘dogs and goats’ and needs to crack a whip on them if you want them to
behave like human beings.
Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service, Police, the Media and
workers from the Municipal Assembly actively involved themselves in the
3rd edition of the Sanitation Day Exercise in the Sunyani Municipality.
