“We can’t compare Sunyani and Brong Ahafo to other regions when it comes to event organising,” says Nana Kwame Owusu Nkwantabisa A.K.A Nana Kay.
Nana Kay was the host of coffee shop a morning show radio program on J.life Fm told Mr. Lattus in an interview on J.life Fm Chart Show, an entertainment show that’s aired on Sunyani based christian radio station J.life Fm 95.5MHz that, most of the event organisers in the region do not want to learn anything new when it comes to event organising.
According to the Broadcaster, majority of events organise in Sunyani do not achieve its success due to the selfish interest of the organisers.
“It’s very sad to note that some of them organise events because everybody is doing it and also they think about the outcome more than their input.”
He added that there was some of the events that the organisers were missing-in-action when their presence was needed on stage.
Nana Kay alleged that, some organisers are being chased by their creditors for the money that they borrowed for hosting events in the region.
He further stated that organising an event needs a serious protocol, massive promotion, patience, technical know how and other things, “You can’t be a good event organiser because you are a radio presenter.”
He charged event organisers in Brong Ahafo to sacrifice more in organising their events than to look for one touch success.
“We can do better if we unite and put things in order than to run at lost due to selfishness.”
