Ghana Food And Drugs Board has banned popular TV cum radio presenter
Kwame Dzokoto from starring in any alcoholic beverage advert.
The “Edziban” host in an interview with Sammy Flex on Pluzz FM
discussing the content of TV commercials made the revelation.
“I must tell you I have been banned by the Food and Drugs Board not to
do any liquor advertisement again”.
He said the failure to see him in more TV commercials is as a result
of the ban. According to the General Manager of Pluzz Fm, Food and
Drugs Board says majority of his fans are kids and by doing more
commercials for alcoholic beverages, it will have negative effects on
them.
“They say I have kids who are my followers and I will teach kids how
to drink and because of that they should seize me out of job.
“I wanted to test the law but errm.. I also… for sure it’s a positive
thing but then …I think I don’t like this litigation thing so I
decided to let it go.”
