I Will Continue To Flaunt My Sexy Body—Says Mzbel

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Mzbel
Ghanaian Hiplife songtress, Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah,
popularly known as Mzbel is at it again!
Love or hate her….she is still the only Mzbel that we have
in the entertainment industry of Ghana.
The super controversial figures in the music scene seem not
to care about all the criticisms that are being pelted onto to her by some
industry players and fans for her long standing reputation of exposing to much.
Nana Ekua’s career has been surrounded with bunch of
controversies but she always try to stand guard.
She recently caused controversy in Ghana for espousing anti
theist beliefs.
A defiant
Mzbel told Showbiz on Monday that;

she would continue to flaunt her body because she is sexy and such a shapely body cannot be hidden from the “viewing pleasure” of the public.

“I want my critics to know that my brand stands for sexiness and this is what I have been projecting since I started doing music over a decade ago. What I post online is for official purposes and besides, I don’t walk in town naked.

“I am tired of the hypocrisy of Ghanaians and how they tend to read meanings into everything I do. What is wrong with the picture I posted?

“Of late, I have decided not to give ears to what people say or think about me. I won’t be bothered at all because I know I have got a sexy body even after child birth and will continue to flaunt it,” she added.

She explained that the controversial photograph which attracted the huge backlash last Friday was a random picture of a photo shoot for a billboard advert she took for a company and did not expect such a hostile reaction from the public.

But those raunchy shots are likely to be shelved from their intended purpose as they might not go up on any billboard because of disapproval from the father of the artiste’s two-year-old son, Aaron.

The smart character she is, the artiste disclosed to Showbiz she opted to enter into a deal to drop the photographs and forgo the advert.

“My baby’s daddy doesn’t support the idea but I have told him that this is part of my job as an artiste. We have come to an agreement that if he can offer me the fee I’m taking for the endorsement deal, I will back out. But I also want to do it because I want to inspire many young ladies out there that, you can still have a sexy body after birth if you take good care of yourself,” she said.

Known in private life as Belinda Nana Akua Amoah, Mzbel returned to the showbiz scene in February this year after a maternity break with the launch of her Red Carpet Show — her comeback show — only to be entangled in a web of controversies.

First, her public disclaimer on TV3’s Restoration Show, of the existence of Jesus Christ, attracted a huge public backlash, but that wasn’t enough to sober the young mother who had claimed motherhood had made her more mature and tempered her dress sense. But it appears the old Mzbel is back on the block and with vengeance.

In May this year, she courted trouble again after releasing the Help Stop Dumsor song and even before the dust settled on that matter, Mzbel was confronted again by the unending issue about the identity of her son’s father.

For now, the Awoso Me hit maker is taking a lead in a campaign to educate Ghanaians on the need to conserve energy with her Help Stop Dumsor project which has Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), GRIDCO and Volta River Authority as sponsors.

Mzbel, who is known for songs such as Akua, 16 Years and Onye Ogbemi said she hopes her project would yield better results in the conservation of energy in the country.
