Emmanuella Meet Kalybos: Was It Wrong For Emmanuella To Be Airlifted To Ghana?

Entertainment pundits have questioned whether the Management
members of Nigerian child comedian, Emmanuella are ready to face the law over
child labour.

Their argument was based on the
age of the little girl who was airlifted to perform in Ghana.

However, a legal practitioner
Kwasi Kankam of Asempa Chambers commenting on the issue on J. Life Fm said
there is nothing wrong for Emmanuella to be airlifted to stage a comedy if her
management passed through the right process.
“The labour act of Nigeria needs to be interpreted before
judging whether it is wrong or not. Her parents need to sign everything on her
behalf before she attains the age of 18,” he told Mr. Lattus on Entertainment
Chat Show.
According to him, the Ghana High Commission in Nigeria would
not have granted her the visa to travel to Ghana if her management failed to do
what is required.
He advised those who have issues with the young comedian’s
visit to Ghana to read the labour act of Nigeria before passing comments.
“Child labour in Nigeria is the
employment of children under the age of 18 in a manner that restrict or prevent
them from basic education and development. Child labour is pervasive in every
state of the country,” a section of Nigeria’s child labour act read.
