The Executive Secretary of Mid-West
Conference of Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA), Pastor Jonathan Amo Ameyaw
has stated that politicians are not evil doers as perceived by a section of the
Christian community in the country.

Speaking on the theme “Reach The
World” at the annual camp meeting of the Sunyani North and Penkwase districts
of the church on Saturday, Pastor Jonathan Amo advised Christians to live a
life that others can emulate.

According to him, politics is also a
way of transferring ones power invested into him/her to a leader who can bring
development.
He charged Christians to play their
pivotal role to ensure development—and work towards a peaceful election.
“If God created humanity in his own
image and likeness then we should not be on logger heads with anybody when it’s
time to choose a leader. Let’s unite and hope for a better end.
“Politicians are not evil doers.
They are the planners of development in this country…so let’s do away with such
perception. All political parties aim at working to improve on the lives of the
citizens. We need to vote peacefully and love ourselves.”
