Ghanaian gospel musician, Ernest Opoku Jnr has said it is good that history was made at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
Speaking in an interview with Mr. Lattus on J. Life FM’s Entertainment Chart Show, Ernest Opoku Jnr stated that Joe Mettle’s victory as the Best Artiste of the Year is good for the Ghanaian gospel industry.
“It is good that for the first time, a gospel musician carried the ultimate award. It is good for the Ghanaian gospel industry and also glorifies God.”
He believes the manner of which the gospel musicians voiced out how they are not able to win from the artiste of the year category influenced the result.
The ‘Adom Bi Wo Jesus’ singer called on his colleagues to foster unity in order to reach higher heights.
Ernest Opoku Jnr disclosed that he is working on a new song. According to him he does not rush in working on new projects.
“I wait for the direction of the almighty God before I came with any song,” he stated.
