Women In Worship “Akatasia” Campaign Educates Over 100 Women At The Dome Market

The sensitization and awareness campaign on Cervical Cancer Dubbed "Akatasia" came to live at 10am with Market Women seated to educate themselves.
With Dome Market being the first stop of a campaign said to visit the ten regions of Ghana.
Dr. Sandra Crabbe of the Medical women's association of Ghana interacted with the market women of Dome on cervical cancer. she spoke on the causes, symptoms and preventive measures of cervical cancer.
She entreated the women to practice a healthy lifestyle and advised them to visit health centres where cervical cancer screening takes place and ensure that they get checked.
The 2 hour educative session on the cancer came to an end after very brilliant questions from the women on the session.
It was a successful program with over 100 women gathered to be part of the AKATASIA campaign.
The coordinator of the initiative, Michael Boakye-Yiadom thanked the leadership of the market for participating in the session and promised them that Genet Services and the medical women association of Ghana will visit the market again and provide them the opportunity to have the screening session at a reduced price before the year ends.
The sensitization and awareness campaign will have a star dubbed worship experience concert on Sunday 24th September ,2017 at The Perez Dome, Dzorwulu at exactly 4pm.
