Security Situation In Brong Ahafo Is The Best – B/A Police PRO

The Brong Ahafo Regional Police Public Relations Officer, Chief Inspector Augustine Kingsley Oppong has lauded the achievement of the service.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Nana KAS on Suncity 97.1 FM’s Morning Drive, the B/A Police PRO disclosed that despite their challenges security situation in the region is currently the best.
He indicated that the crime rate in the region has reduced, but there are some flashpoints which have been identified by the police administration.
Chief Inspector Augustine Oppong mentioned Seikwa, Atebubu, Goaso, Nsoatre and Odumase as the flashpoints identified by the Brong Ahafo Police Command.
He added that crime rates at Dormaa, Berekum, Tanoso, Nsesereso, Techiman, Amantin and Yeji had been reduced.
He said however that the future is bleak if the youth will engage themselves in criminal activities.
“We all have to play our part in ensuring peace in the Brong Ahafo region. We are doubling our steps to flush out criminals,” he said.
Chief Inspector Kingsley Oppong asserted that stiff punishments from the judges in Ghana would help deter others from engaging themselves in criminal activities.
When asked why the police are not destroying the various wee base in the region, Chief Inspector Oppong said “we cannot pick people at wee base when they haven’t committed any crimes. We should also look at human right issues.”
