Kofi Oppong Kyekyeku Writes: Brong Ahafo Trains About 65% Of Media Personalities Making Giant Strides In Accra And Kumasi

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Do you know about 65% of media personalities making giant strides in Kumasi/Accra are from the Brong Ahafo Region? Let me be clear here, even if some of them are not indigenes of the region, they had their education—and began their careers with some of the media outlets in the region.

One would ask why is it that they are progressing smoothly after they left the region to other places?
The short answer will be: they are now having better resources to work with, good remuneration and an able team of production members. (And that makes it easier for them to excel).

It is not that there is something magical about Accra/Kumasi and when one moves there then boom!…He/she becomes popular just a twinkle of an eye.

Going forward, I am hoping to see a drastic change within the media landscape in the Brong Ahafo Region. Media owners should motivate their workers to stay—and give out their best.

I know the media owners also have their challenges. The attitude of some of the workers and so many things—but let us all try and work on something positive—that would benefit all of us.
