The General Overseer of Fathers Chapel International, Reverend Isaac Osei Bonsu has made a donation to the inmates at the Akropong School for the Blind in the Eastern Region.
Items donated include bags of rice, milo, milk, sardines, soaps, pieces of cloth, bottles of water, cooking oil, biscuits and soft drinks—which are worth about ten thousand Ghana cedis (Ghs 10,000).
After praying and calling God’s blessing upon the lives of the children, Rev Osei Bonsu promised to check up on them periodically.
He stressed that this gesture will not be a one-day thing.
Inspiring the children, the Man of God stated that their current conditions should not stop them from achieving their goals and aspirations in life.
The items were received by the Headmistress of Akropong School for the Blind, Mrs Mahala Narh, her assistant Mr Atsu Homabzi and the Head of Primary Department, Mr Adade.
The school authorities cheerfully thanked the General Overseer of Fathers Chapel International for his kind gesture.
Mr Adade said their doors are always open for churches, individuals, and cooperate bodies who are willing to help them.
He indicated that it will be very offensive for any visually impaired to beg on the street after enrolling in Akropong School for the Blind.
