Akumadan To Have A Tomato Factory – John Mahama Promises
The Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ex-President John Dramani Mahama, has reiterated his promise to build a tomato processing factory at Akumadan in the Ashanti Region.
During a campaign tour to the Offinso North district, Mr Mahama said it is needful for a tomato factory to be built since the area is well known for its tomatoes plantation.
Through the ‘Crop Processing Zones’ program, the NDC leader said the tomato factor will be situated at Akumadan to help the residents.
He stated that tomato farmers can rake in a lot of money by selling their products to the factory.
John Mahama stressed that crop growing areas will benefit from these factories if the next NDC government comes to power.
“Areas like the Bono Region will also have a Cashew factory,” he disclosed.
He also mentioned his readiness to complete some town roads in the vicinity.
The NDC leader assured the residents about his eagerness to impact their lives.
