Popular Ghanaian actor, Akwasi Boadi aka Akrobeto, has stated that dumsor contributed to the fall of local movies in the country.
What used to be a vibrant industry has not been able to find its rhythm for some years now.
Sharing his view on what may be the cause; Akrobeto pointed his fingers at the erratic power supply in Ghana otherwise known as dumsor.
He made this comment on UTV’s United Showbiz program hosted by Nana Ama McBrown.
“Dumsor was a big problem for our work. It was the beginning of our woes because we weren’t able to work as we used to do.
“People could not even watch movies they buy and we weren’t able to churn out more content for our viewers,” Akrobeto stated.
If dumsor was the cause, why can’t they bounce back now that the power supply is a bit stable?
