Zylofon Media has confirmed the attempted attack on its presenter, Abubakar Ahmed, well known as Blakk Rasta.
The popular radio presenter and musician disclosed in a post on Twitter that a masked man who broke into the premises of Zylofon FM and threatened to kill.
Following the incident which occurred on Tuesday, January 5, 2020, the officials of the media outlet has issued a statement.
They stated that the masked man broke security protocol after he sprayed “a strange content into their eyes.”
In his attempt to escape, the Head of Security “shot him with a licensed gun”.
According to the management, Blakk Rasta is “safe and unhurt”.
“This man first went to the station’s server room, succeeding in disconnecting some of our cables, therefore, shutting down transmission before threatening the life of the host of Taxi Driver Show, Blakk Rasta, known in private life as Abubakar Ahmed.
“The police team upon arrival took the shot assailant away together with some staff of the station to help with investigations and has since taken charge of the premises to ensure the protection of life and property,” part of the statement read.
