Ghana Secures 2023 AFCON Qualification After Beating Central African Republic In Kumasi

The Black Stars of Ghana have qualified for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Ghana booked a ticket for the 2023 AFCON after they beat Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

Central African Republic, the away team, took the lead in the 25th minute through Louis Mafouta.

After 43 minutes of play, Mohammed Kudus got an equalizer for Ghana.

Despite a slow start in the first half, the Black Stars put up impressive play before the game ended.

The vital win for Ghana came after Ernest Nuamah found the net in the 88th minute following a pass from Antoine Semenyo.

With 12 points, Ghana became the winner of Group E of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers. The Ghanaian side will participate in next year’s Africa Cup of Nations which will be held in Ivory Coast.
