Popular Ghanaian songstress, Wendy Shay, has bemoaned over the favouritism in the Ghanaian music industry.
Speaking in an interview with Sammy Flex on Zylofon FM, which was monitored by Newshuntermag.com, the Rufftown Records artiste stated that some artistes are pampered.
She indicated that there are artistes in the industry and industry artistes.
Wendy Shay asserted that industry artistes have an advantage over the artistes in the industry.
She said the industry artistes are given awards even if they do not deserve them while the artistes in the industry—like herself have to work hard before they can win awards.
The ‘Bedroom Commando’ singer further stated that VGMA and 3Music Awards are like NPP and NDC.
She disclosed that she put her concentration on her album instead of this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Wendy Shay candidly said she knew she won’t win, so there’s no need to waste the time of her fans by asking them to vote for her.
