Bono Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman, Kwame Baffoe, otherwise known as Abronye DC, has been detained.
He was formally arrested after he honoured an invitation by the Accra Regional Police Command.
Abronye was invited by the police after he alleged in an interview that Ex-President Mahama is planning to stage a coup.
The police revealed in a statement available to Newshuntermag.com that his claims are untrue.
He has been charged on two counts of publication of false news and offensive conduct conducive to breaches of the peace.
Abronye DC, according to the police, will be arraigned before the court on Wednesday, February 16, 2022.
