Ghanaian rapper, Samuel Adu Frimpong, widely known as Medikal, has been fined by the court.
Medikal was fined by the Accra Circuit Court after he changed his earlier plea of not guilty to guilty.
He was convicted on his own plea.
Medikal has therefore been convicted to a fine of 300 Penalty Units (GHc3,600).
He will serve nine (9) months in jail if fails to pay the fine.
If you would recall, Medikal was arrested for unlawfully displaying a gun in a video posted on social media some months ago.
After a sitting today, His Honour Emmanuel Essandoh, who presided over the court, also directed the prosecution to release the rapper’s gun.
