Residents of Nkona Kwagya, a farming community in the Tain District of the Bono Region have complained about the lack of potable water.

Newshuntermag.com has gathered that the over two thousand (2,000) residents living in the area have no access to good drinking water.

Sadly, they share the online source of drinking water, a stream, with cattle.

They told this reporter, Mark Asante, that they are fed up and can no longer share the already polluted water with animals.

Another challenge, the lack of a toilet facility, has compelled both men and women to defecate in the bush. Meanwhile, there is an abandoned 16 capacity toilet that was built in 2016.

Mr Eric Addei, the Assemblyman of Nkona Kwagya Electoral Area, appealed to the government and Tain District Assembly to complete the abandoned borehole project initiated by the previous government.

He mentioned that the community is struggling to get a befitting source of drinking water and toilet facilities to improve the sanitation situation in the community.

Some of the residents expressed their unhappiness in the video below.
