American actor, Will Smith did not take a joke Chris Rock made about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith lightly.
He vehemently registered his displeasure when Rock joked about his wife’s hair at the 2022 Oscars.
“Jada, I love ya. G.I. Jane 2, can’t wait to see it,” Chris Rock stated.
After an uncomfortable reaction from the audience, he added, “a nice [joke]”.
Following this, Will walked to Rock and gave him a heavy slap on his cheek.
“Oh, wow,” the American comedian instantly reacted while Smith was walking offstage.
Captured back at his seat, Will Smith yelled: “Leave my wife’s name out of your f**king mouth.” – Even though the Oscars broadcast sound suddenly cut out after Rock said Smith’s name in reaction.
Through ABC’s telecast, Rock proceeded by saying: “That was the greatest night in the history of television.”
Later, Will Smith apologized to the Academy after winning the Best Actor Oscar for King Richard.
“I want to apologize to the Academy. I want to apologize to all my fellow nominees…love makes you do crazy things.”
“I’m hoping that the Academy invites me back,” he added humorously.
Newshuntermag.com has gathered Pinkett spoke about having alopecia, a hair loss condition, which she was diagnosed with in 2018.
She gave an update about her condition in December last year on Red Table Talk.
“Y’all know I’ve been struggling with alopecia and just all of a sudden one day, look at this line right here. Look at that,” she pointed to a line that showed up on her scalp as a result of the disorder.
“So it just showed up like that and this is going to be a little bit more difficult for me to hide. So I thought I’d just share it so y’all are not asking any questions,” Jada Pinkett Smith further stated.
