The Ghana Police Service has condemned the attack on personnel at the Arise Ghana Demonstration.
A report Newshuntermag.com has picked said tension erupted after some of the demonstrators pelted stones at the police officers.
The police also fired tear gas.
Currently, the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange road has been closed.
Some of the demonstrators have also been arrested.
Reacting to the sad development, the Ghana Police Service stated the behaviour of the demonstrators was shameful and unacceptable.
They wrote in a social media post: “Attack on Police in the Ongoing Arise Ghana Demonstration. What a shame, we were there to protect you and ensure your safety, but you throw stones at us, injure and hurt us. This behaviour is unacceptable and must be condemned.”
