Kuami Eugene Reiterates His Love For Highlife After Being Featured On BBC News

Young Ghanaian musician, Eugene Marfo, widely known as Kuami Eugene has been featured on BBC News.

He reiterated his love for Highlife in his interview with BBC that Newshuntermag.com has come across.

Despite the dominance of Afrobeats that has seen many African artistes jump on it, Eugene has an interest in preserving Highlife.

Talking about his music career and high moments, the Lynx Entertainment artiste revealed being crowned the Artiste of the Year at the 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards was his high moment.

Winning the coveted award means to him that he is really doing well.

When asked if Highlife is being taken over by Afrobeats, he answered not where he comes from.

Kuami Eugene explained that even though Ghanaians listen to Afrobeats, they are made of Hiplife and Highlife music.
