Reggie Rockstone has opened up about how he was disrespected by Ghanaians.

While he needed love from his own people, the originator of Hiplife in Ghana said he was disrespected.

He made this statement in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM which was monitored by Newshuntermag.com.

The Hiplife Grandpapa stated that the media also went along with it after the disrespectful treatment meted to him.

Reggie Rockstone made this claim when he was answering a question about whether he felt disrespected over some mistakes made in Nigeria’s ‘Afrobeats: The Backstory’ documentary.

“The only people who disrespected me were my people – Ghanaians – and the media went along with it. I was popping off in 1993. But according to the Afro Beats Documentary, I started in 1999 – which is false,” he stated.

He also lamented that he was not supported when his ‘Living The Hiplife’ documentary was produced.
